Methodology
Under Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/1669, smartphones and slate tablets placed on the EU market from 20 June 2025 must carry an energy label and a product information sheet registered in the EU's EPREL database. The label includes a repairability class from A (best) to E, based on a repairability index (0–5) built from six scores: disassembly depth, fasteners, tools, spare-part availability, software-update duration and repair information.
Our rules
- Every number links to its source, with the date we retrieved it.
- EU label values come only from the official EPREL product information sheet for the EU model number.
- Spare-part prices come only from the manufacturer's own EU parts store or self-repair programme.
- If we haven't checked a value against an official source, we mark it not yet verified. We never estimate.
- Typical repair prices will come from real quotes by independent repair shops and are not published yet.
